Retention offer for keeping ICICI cards

Is there any retention offer for keeping ICICI Platinum and Amazon cards (both lifetime free)

Normally if you phone customer care and ask to close your card they will transfer the call to the retention team, who will make you an offer of statement credit or points to keep the card

Like how? Why? It LTF card! Why you need to close LTF Card and ask for anything in return.

We need separate section for Retention offers on LTF cards 😀

Interesting question, why dont you try and enlighten us

Closing a LTF card which you don't need/don't want/don't use will boost your credit score.
Because It shows that you are less hungry for credit.

So unless there is a good incentive to keep the LTF card, you should close it to boost your credit score.

After I closed HDFC Millenia, Amex MRCC, RBL World Safari, RBL Platinum Maxima, SBI Simply click, SBI FBB, etc; my credit score jumped an incredible 98 points!

I am not going to close ICICI Amazon or Platinum
I was just trying to get some statement credit or points.
Yes Bank & Axis both gave me retention points.
Ask and you shall receive, because only crying babies get the milk!

The problem is already icici cards are mostly useless. So no much benefit in asking reward points to stay back. Axis is famous for giving points to stay back. Even if u try 2 times a month axis gives you 2000 + 2000 edge rewards. But with ICICI that is not the case.
They want people to get rid of their cards so that less headache for them. So don't even think of asking retention offer. They will straight away close off.

@vaibhav111 can OP select his own answer as solution? @BVC
