Reward points vs cashback

A simple unjust comparison on purchasing medicine:
* SBI cashback 5%
* hdfc Infinia 33.3% value back via reward points.

Was just thinking about this.

Even with tata neu infinity, you can get Apollo pharmacy voucher at 8% discount available in neu app, 5% cashback on using neu card to buy this voucher, and another 15% cashback from appollo side if you are appollo one circle member when you pay.

I mostly prefer reward points over cb but RN i don't have any cc which gives me benifits equals to sbi cb so just using it. I love to accumulate RP and use it once

I am still with cashback cards.
Only thing is - If I need a high tier hotel membership like Gold status in Taj or Mariott then I need to either take some reward based card that gives this membership along with the card; or pay and use. Cashback cards do not give any premium hotel memberships.
