Most probably your account will be active within few hours.. usually not more than 24 hours

I haven’t selected any account type.. just went to site.. selected open account it asked me fd+savings or only savings.. selected saving’s..

yes you have opened wrong account. It clearly says fund your Digi Jana account. So you opened Digi Jana account not VKYC account.
Somewhere in the previous posts I mentioned that one shouldn't open this as this have 1 year validity.

Thanks a lot for all your confirmations. I got a call from branch on same day of conversion and they applied from their end. I believed that would be a better option. The debit card details started reflected last night and now I have been able to register on rupay site and can see all benefits. Hope to receive the physical card soon as well. Thanks!!

Yes Have both rupay select CC and DC. Just go to manage account and add card.
