Nope. Only non-personalized DC is the classic NCMC one. Rest are all personalized and must be applied via branch. Yes, AMC will be charged separately unfortunately. So keep it until November, then hotlist and apply plat DC if you aren't in a hurry.

Unfortunately no. It's just a "feature" (albeit negative) of that card I suppose. 🙁
That's the point, it can be sorted out, just to connect with the right people/team.
The simplest solution is forget cash...I hardly withdraw 10K a month...rest all UPI/CC payments.
I can't speak for other banks or their system but from what I've noticed in our bank is that the AMC fees are run in batches at HO level. In some banks, they deduct the AMC on the issuance day every year, so I guess it varies from bank to bank.

I went to BOI for CC, they said they issue CC only against FD.
Since there is no separate department for CCs (like SBIcard for SBI, BOBfinancial for BoB) getting unsecured card like Rupay Select is very difficult. Most branches take the easy route of issuing CC against TDR and it's usually by older branch managers. Rupay select is the only CC worth taking IMHO.

We process all loans on a separate platform other than CBS. Can't give anymore information regarding how it works besides this.
