Rupay select debit card query

Hello guys,

I was looking to get a rupay select debit card but the problem I have a zero balance account bob but it is bob_ADVANTAGE_sb_0_bal something account but I can't apply it via the bob world app I do get visa sapphire option though. If I go to the branch will they apply it for me without upgrading the account? I also found out that union Bank gives cheapest rupay select debit debit card for 400/- + gst but it requires a 100000MAB account. And also my sister has a zero balance account in Canara Bank and in the app it shows that she can apply for both MasterCard world and rupay select international debit cards but it's the most expensive one with 1000 + gst. So which route should I chose?

BOB Advantage saving account has no option to apply for the Rupay Select DC, rather you can upgrade your account to Super Saving account in order to apply & later you can downgrade your account to BOB Advantage Saving Account but you will be charged for Rupay Select DC. Few folks have done this way to grab the Rupay Select DC.

You can open union udaan savings account with 10k MAB, and easily get rupay select fyf, with 400+gst
Age criteria is 21-40
Have to be a professional degree, but many people say they dont really check it
So you will have to visit branch to confirm
Otherwise get Jana sfb that's the best option

Also if your sister is 18+
She can get LTF rupay select, by cent queen savings account MAB of 25k but no maintenance charge as of now
No initial funding required either

In union Bank rupay select debit card Is difficult to get. Only 4 accounts are eligible for rupay select debit card one being UNION UDAAN

Union Udaan eligibility -
Registered practicing Individual professionals - Medical & para medical professionals, Engineers & Architects, CA/ACCA/ICWA/CFA/CFM/CS, Lawyers, Consultants, Other professionals including artists, photographers, event managers etc.

Individuals: singly or jointly and in case of joint account professional should be the primary account holder.
