SBI Aurum state 2025

Since I'm a new member I can only post here.

I recently got an SBI Aurum card.

I know it's a bad card if you have to pay for it.

Also we don't get reward points for paying rent on it.

But do we get milestone benefits if I pay rent on it.

I've been meaning to try red giraffe, but no option for SBI now. I found this new app called Rentenpe.

Can I also do:
- NPS contributions
- Wallet loads

Are they helpful in reaching milestone benefits?

I applied for AURUM and I get a call that my Elite ( 1 yr old) is upgradable to AURUM

Today, I spoke with Aurum support, as my second year has just started with Aurum. I enjoy watching movies at PVR Insignia and IMAX. Aurum offers discounts for both tickets on BookMyShow, which is one reason I kept Aurum and premium lounge access as well.

I was busy with work and life and didn't remember about the Aurum card renewal. Fees of 9999 + GST were charged to my card, which I paid 12 days back.

I messaged my RM regarding this, and he advised me to call them for fee reversal. My last year's spending on Aurum will be around 3-4 lakhs, as I use Infinia and Amex primarily.

Interesting, I had to downgrade from Elite to SimplySave because they didn't provide a fee reversal.

Can I ask them to upgrade to Elite again and not activate the card until they confirm it will be FYF or LTF? I can request a downgrade to SimplySave within the 30-day activation window if they do not confirm it will be FYF or LTF.

but do they even give a fyf or ltf upgrade? bcuz ltf aurum only i have heard is given to currently studying students of iim a, b and c only
