I'm in a similar dilemma for sbi card application. Sbi card agent called me yesterday and told me I'm eligible this n that. I was looking into having my first sbi card with minimal annual fee as there is no ltf by default. So when agent called, I was like okay let's apply. He asked me if I have other cards, I said yes then he asked which bank and I said 2 cards from icici with this much limit. Then he asked me my cibil and I said 795. He then said your cibil is good and previous card has good enough limit so my entire process will be paperless, no income documents will be asked. Then he filled the form for simply click card, I received sms of tentative limit ranging from 73k to 92k. Then I did video kyc.
After v-kyc the agent called again and asked me if I want add on card, I said no. He told me verification call would come same day.
After 1 hour verification call came (Kolkata std code), verified details and the lady told be that I'm getting Reliance Prime SBI card with annual fee 2999+ tax and joining fee 2999+ tax. I denied and sticked to simplyclick. Then she asked me some consent and informed me that within 2 days another (probably last verification) call would come then final call before card dispatch. That process was done and I received e-sign sms, I verified everything and completed the process.
Today I received another call, the std code is from Vadodara (I thought call would come from Gurugram). I verified my addresses. Asked her if there will be further verification calls, she said could be but didn't confirm.
I was hoping after Kolkata call, next call would be from gurugram but in between Vadodara entered. Am I getting the card or not, nervous as hell 😅. I just wish everything is done through call & I don't have to see anybody's face for any physical verification.
(Summary is - First day : Applied through agent > vkyc > verification call from Kolkata > nsdl e-sign
2nd day (Today) : Verification call from Vadodara till now)
