SBI Card Over Leveraged? Here's the Solution - Experiment

SBI cards offline application - applying by yourself & sending it to SBI cards office like HDFC Chennai method.

I recently emailed SBI card to issue me 2nd card & this was their reply:

We request you to visit our website www.sbicard.com. On the main page, please click on Cards for You and choose SBI Card of your choice, then click on Learn More. Post that click on Apply Now, it will take you to next page where you can provide the required personal information to apply for card.

(Or)

We would request you to download the application form from website
www.sbicard.com and complete the form in all respects and send the original form at the below mentioned address.

SBI Cards and Payments Services Pvt. Ltd,

P.O Box No-16, G.P.O

New Delhi-110001

After completion of necessary formalities, if these adhere as per the policy, we would be able to send your card.

Meaning SBI card can be applied offline by filling form & sending it via post.

So I went to SBI site, scrolled down then click on form center & found this form (
attached).

Whoever is unable to get SBI card, please try this method manually & update here.

I believe this can work because SBI will do all verification & stuff manually including CIBIL check. On the other hand, in online application, CIBIL thing is automated & rejects customer instantly citing internal policy (over leveraged).

What docs to send? I didn't see any mention of docs but you can attach income docs, address proof like aadhar or even C2C docs for better approval rate 😂 (I saw section of other card number option, so you can try).

P.s. I didn't read the whole form.

P.s. - This is an experimental post & doesn't guarantee 100% approval with trick.

I am self-employed so they need stamped ITR. But then they said they have access to my Anumati, but still can't issue because of overleveraged 🤦🏻‍♂️ But even when I wasn't overleveraged, I wasn't able to apply due to that reference no. not generated error (which btw is still not fixed), they have no idea what to do about it. So at this point, even if I close a huge number of cards, applying via Sprint is impossible for any card. How can I even approach RBI ombudsman for this? I will need to take a video recording of the entire application process with a timestamp - dunno how to send a video to RBI ombudsman.
I think they can apply it from the backend directly... the escalation team. Did you try that option?

I hold sbi cb card and had a pre approved Rupay cc offer (simply save and bpcl) in my sbi card app some time ago. Didn't need another card at that point so didn't take the rupay card (big mistake). Now i hold many cc and am over leveraged as per sbi standards (card rejected recently). My question is, how can I get a rupay sbi card on a split limit basis (like it was offered in app before)? I desperately need one to use in sales offers. Thanks

Hello, just a quick question. Even your pre approved sbi card application got rejected instantly after being over leveraged ? Or that was a normal application (not pre approved)?

I'm in the same boat. Was thinking to get SBI savings account to get pre approved offers as I'm over leveraged. But if pre approved cards also get rejected, then I can save myself some time from opening sbi savings account.

SBI and SBI Cards are different entities. You don't get pre approved offers on opening a savings account. you get only pre-qualified option to apply

I see. So there is only one solution for over leveraged issue, to close existing cc. Opening of Savings account doesn't help. Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

It was a normal application that was rejected. No pre approved rupay card offer for me now.

Closing existing cards does not help unless you close every card you have. Your total credit limit should not exceed 70% of your MONTHLY salary.

SBI Card wants only people who don't have credit cards. What a dumb business model, yes but what would you expect from a company run by sarkari babus that too people on reservation.

I don't think it's based on monthly salary as I know many people who were able to get sbi card having much more existing limit than 70% of monthly salary. I think it is based on yearly salary. 1x or 2x. Not sure. They never disclose.
