SBI Cashback Card Cashback Reversal

Hello Members,

There's a lot of talk going on regarding SBI Cashback card for purchases during Amazon sale where there was 10% instant discount are now being reversed.

I was about to apply for SBI card. Now I'm having second thoughts. Do you think it's still worth it? Please share your views on this recent devaluation.

OfCourse it is useful card. Why you think credit card companies should give you double benefits (10% instant discount + 5% cashback)? Only one benefit is there for credit card spends either reward points or cashback.
It is not devaluation, we are getting 5% cashback on eligible online spend categories. I never used my cashback card for any instant discount offer on Amazon but normal purchasing on Amazon and got 5% cashback.

In Amazon Republic day sale T&C, it is clearly mentioned Cashback card is not eligible.

It's not eligible for instant discount but you'll get 5% cashback.

If you want SBI card only for 10% discount sales. Then you can get a card that has milestone benefits rather than reward benefits (which you won't get during sales).

Eg. I've just applied for SBI Vistara card, where I can get free flight tickets once I cross 1.25 - 1.5 lacs spend. These will be very useful during sale times.

Just now, I've submitted my sbi cashback application. I'm struck at office address. Anyone faced this issue?
Any resolution? I'm unable to proceed in next steps?
