SBI CASHBACK CARD - NO CASHBACK GIVEN

Hey guys,

I made a few transactions online on Yatra.com, for booking tickets. The transactions were made just a couple of days before the statement was generated.

In the statement generated, the transactions were recorded, but the cashback against them were not accounted for.

I had made a few other transactions in the same statement period, for which I did receive the appropriate cashbacks, just the transactions made in the last days were skipped.

I have raised a ticket through the SBI CARD App, however the responses look like being written by headless chickens.

Has anyone faced such a thing with this card?
Any ideas how and where to raise this issue more prominently?

Many have reported the same issue, best to avoid Yatra and ClearTrip as the MCC is for railway.

Well nothing seems to have come out of that thread.

Moreover mine isnt a MCC issue, as it clearly says in the statement Yatra.com, same as the earlier transactions for what cashbacks were given.

The worst part about this is that there doesnt seem to be a way to communicate the issue to them.

I tried raising a ticket, but they somehow thought I was disputing the transactions themselves, and managed to put them under dispute.

Don't go merchant name. I think same MCC can have different merchant names. So if your merchant name is mapped to mcc which does not give cashback then you will not get it. Better call customer care and ask which mcc is identified against that merchant name.

Bullseye my friend.

Yatra has categorised my transaction as MCC 4112, which is for railway tickets. And sbi cb card doesnt give cashback for railway bookings.

However my transactions were for flight ticket bookings.

I have raised a ticket with sbi, sharing my tickets to prove that they were for flight bookings.

I have also raised a ticket with yatra to amend the mcc code for the transactions.

Can someone confirm if SBI cashback is still giving 5% cashback on clear trip after devaluation on flight booking? I am seeing paytm_cleartrip as merchant name on gateway page

Also if I book through indigo website will I get 5% cashback?

Just to update, after settlement I got 5% cashback for clear trip flight booking, seems like they have fixed the mcc

I even booked a flight ticket dirextly on IndiGo and got 5% cashback there also
