SBI Cashback credit card official benefits revised w.e.f. 1st May 2023

REVISION OF BENEFITS ON CASHBACK SBI CARD:

With effect from 01 May 2023, following changes will be applicable on your CASHBACK SBI Card:

A. Below categories will not be eligible for Cashback benefit, apart from existing exclusions:

The Merchant Category Codes are defined by the Networks and are subjected to change basis their discretion and such changes shall be implemented basis communication from the Networks without any requirement for intimation/information to the customers.

B. Maximum Cashback that can be earned on online & offline spends in a statement cycle will be capped at `5000.

C. Complimentary Domestic Airport Lounge benefit will be discontinued.

They are saying 30K in 30days , 40K in 60days, 50K in 90 days.

At the same time, they are saying 360K in 365 days (this will be possible only if we buy 30K in 30days).

Not understanding their limit logic.
I asked the same question to cc and their reply was it was based on an internal limit by cc bank (lol). I refused to believe and the agent kept repeating the same thing.

For me they are saying 40K in 60days and 50K in 90 days is for bulk purchase users.

If i buy 30K in 1 transaction its bulk purchase and 3*10K in different transaction is not considered as Bulk purchase.

Not even understanding their definition of bulk purchase
 
got it, i am first time booking train tickets. Is goibibo good , or is it better to book via amazon website. Do these third party charge something in case of cancellations?
 
I could use my gocash when booking train tickets via goibibo. Rest amount anyways I can pay via amazon pay balance on goibibo. That's why inclined towards goibibo. if they are not good with cancellations, will happily book via amazon website
Never did cancellations on those. But I don't think there will be a hassle. You can go with goibibo.

thanks, and I hope goibibo has amazon pay option to pay. There is an option in goibibo which says zero cancellation and takes an upfront fee of 310 per person against a total train ticket of 1805. Does that make sense?
 
Update: goibibo doesn't have amazon pay under mobile wallet when you book train tickets, although it appears when you book hotels. I already loaded amazon pay. Now the only question is if sbi pays 5 percent for train tickets via goibibo

Someone from TF used my referral link and got a new credit card in Feb.
They infrmed me that they have been using it quite a lot since then.
But I haven't received the ₹500 e-Voucher for the referral.
I complained on Twitter they asked application # of the friends card.
I called SBI customer care and they asked for mobile number of the friends card.
..
I naively thought this will all be automatic. Do we need to harass SBI for this too?.

I used your referral link and I haven't received my 500 voucher as well. Customer care had no clue. They asked to email with screenshot. Then they responded by asking referred person's details. I couldn't make them understand that i was the referred person😵

It seems SBI is notorious in the perspective...
Only one time one gentleman used my referral and he got the card after some lengthy process..
Neither of us got referral bonus.. Again he fought with them upto some higher authority for a very long time to get both of us the bonus.

I never tried anything from myside as I never believed we would be successful.. He persisted for a very long time... and for this also they raised one SR..

BTW, He is a big SBI customer and knew some SBI managers/higher above .. as well..
