SBI cashback is rejected

Hi Folks,

I hold SBI BPCL and have really good cibil score , but my SBI cashback card is getting rejected each time, any clue why that might be the case. Is it because i am already holding another card from SBI ?

After 2 months try via Offline SBI cards offline agent. I am also facing the same issue I hold SBI CB but they have rejected my SBI SC application.
Many are facing a similar issue with SBI recently.
 
No offline agents also can apply for the card, I know some people who got the card via the branch cc agent but they all have an account or 1 CC with SBI

I applied for SBI Cashback last week and it was declined due to internal policy. But the very next day, i recieved call from customer care saying I have to get other credit card first to be eligible for the cashback card. I'm suspicious of this approach. I didn't opt for other card immediately and still thinking how to proceed.

Any guidance here?

Not sure whether it is from Nodal officer or not.

But I was reached out for the 3rd time by different executives. Today one said my name mismatch was the reason for rejection. I tried creating another application with a different mobile number. Even the executives got surprised knowing that their system has made PAN number as unique value and didn't allow my application to proceed after page 3 in Sprint. It was a group call. I spoke with 3 executives and they were assisted by few mores 😂 in the same call.

Finally, asking me to get a basic card and apply for upgrade after 3 months. Don't know whether upgrade to Cashback will work or not.

thanks for the response. Let me try sending a mail and see what response I get. I am not very optimistic but let's try atleast.
