SBI credit card limit Increase and asking for saving account link

Recently, I got more than three time limit increase offer through SBI Card, after proceeding, its ask me to link saving account

Is it normal procedure with SBI? And what is it actually and how it work?

There's no linking ,
It's just a onetime retrival of account statement,
And the portal seems legit, unlikely that it'll be mis-used
