SBI DEBIT CARD QUERY

Today i have opened account in sbi. I requested branch people to only give me cheque book no debit was required they. As now i will be receiving debit card (not sure about the variant). I think sbi debit cards are first year free. If I'll not activate my debit card and hotlist the card. Will there be any charges? For hotlisting the card. Or maybe I'll charge next year for card. Kindly help me with this.

Virtual card only is free or same charges as physical one

Check card number in your statement. You must've been charged for physical debit card.

I'm a little late to comment here, but as far as I know, if you use your SBI debit card even once after an Annual Maintenance Charge (AMC) is deducted, they'll deduct the AMC again the next year. So don't use an ATM card after its AMC is deducted before you block it.

RBI bamboo solved it, SBI girl was being oversmart saying it is charged in 12 month however it was charged in first month..

How RBI solved it for you did you tweet them or any other way you got the refund, I'm going to apply for SBI Insta Plus but I don't want the debit card hence I'm going to close that will I have to pay the annual fee for this year and infuture as well kindly help me out in this matter.
