I'm facing an issue with SBI card.
So last November I applied for an SBI card but it was rejected, soon after a week I got a call from an executive that he can apply offline and he did offline kyc for me and applied for a card but it was also rejected. and That was my biggest mistake.
Soon after 2nd rejection, I started getting messages that I applied for a credit card, cibil hits and started getting calls for KYC and application verification calls, each and every time I said no to process the card. my guess is that agent shared my info with different agents and they all started applying on my behalf. Sometimes agents came to my home for physical kyc after applying on my behalf.
It continued till April and I got 15+ Cibil hits within 5 months only for the SBI card.
After that, I gave up and in April agreed to process my application, and the card was approved that time. During the verification call, I asked for a cashback card or Vistara card or any other lower variant card like simply click but the person said only a Pulse card was available so I had to agree with that only. So I got a pulse card with a 40k limit of only
After 1 month of use, I found that it is not useful for me hence I wanted to change my card type. After finding something on Technofino, I tweeted to SBI card for card change and an executive called me and asked me which card I want, I said Vistara, so he raised a request for that, but it was declined and he said I do not have enough credit limit to change my card type.
So I raised the request to update my credit limit based on my salary slip (1.5L+ per month), but they rejected saying a limit increase is only possible after 6 months. So I escalated it to the Nodal officer but he also sent the same response that it's not possible, Today I escalated that to PNO mentioning all the trauma I faced for applying for a card, not getting the desired card, and also sent chat screenshots of sbi agents asking for an application code and vkyc over WhatsApp.
If I do not get a satisfactory answer, I would like to close my card, remove inquiries from Cibil and approach the RBI ombudsman for the mental stress I faced during these 5 months.. What do you folks suggest, what else can I do?
