I have did a upi transaction on 26 nov 2024 in my mother's savings account. But from few days, i was not able to do upi transaction, i thought it's usuall sbi server issue. But now when i tried to apply ipo using sbi NetBanking web portal, it shows your account is inoperative. I have read on a news article of business standard that "A savings or a current account is treated as inoperative if the customer has no transaction in the account for a period of over two years". I have filed online complaint, written a mail to customer care. Will it help? Or it maybe helpful if i reach nodal officer or rbi ombudsman as service of home branch is very poor.
