SBI Octane vs HSBC Live vs IDFC Power +

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well. I need your insights and experiences. Below are my requirements.

1. Online Purchase - I have an SBI Cashback Card, I have HDFC Swiggy, and that covers most of my online expenses.
2. Offline Purchase - My major offline spending is Fuel, Grocery, Education Fees etc. Here, I have an SBI BPCL Card and an IDFC Power + card.

IDFC Wealth:
Fuel—It's good for only Fuel and works on all HPCL pumps.
Grocery & Utility - 30X Rewards, Max 400 Rewards = ₹100 /month
Education - 3X Reward points, no capping

SBI BPCL:
Fuel - I am planning to upgrade this card to BPCL Octane. I will get a reward of 6.25% on Fuel, but the only challenge is the Reward will be applicable only to select BPCL pumps and does not work on all BPCL pumps. They have their own list that gets updated monthly

Grocery & Utility: It offers 2.5% off groceries and a maximum of 7,500 Reward Points per month.
Education: You will receive 1 Reward point for every 100 Rs. spent on other retail purchases (Except Mobile wallet uploads and non-BPCL fuel spends).

Fees are not a concern as the spend is more than 2L, so I will get a waiver.

HSBC Live+
Considering the good grocery and dining offers, the HSBC Live + card is also a good option. It offers 10% cashback with a cap of 1000/month

3. UPI Spends—I have the Kiwi App, which is my primary app for UPI spending, so I am happy with this.

As I have both HPCL and BPCL, I am planning to close one of these cards. I hate Axis, so no IOCL in consideration.

My goals are simple
1. SBI Cashback for online
2. Kiwi for UPI
3. Third card for my Fuel, Grocery, clothes, Education Fees, and other offline spending.
4. Travel - I have Regalia Gold, and I am working towards upgrading it to Infinia in the Future.

Please suggest.

Your post title is confusing - it gave an impression that post is something about Fuel cards comparison with HSBC Liv odd one out among SBI Octane & IDFC Power +.
Please change the title basis the post description 🙂

What should be the right title as I have added the comparison points for both HPCL and BPCL card. Tried editing but could not find option to edit the title
