SBI only PPF account

Does anyone only hold a PPF and not savings account with SBI? If so, how was your experience and how did you register for online banking without debit card?

I hold one and trust me it’s not a good idea opening just a PPF account. They are denying Internet Banking facility and asks me to open savings account if I want to use Internet Banking.
They simply issue a passbook however I am still negotiating for Net Banking facility.
Check with the branch manager in advance if he agrees to provide you with all these facilities before you open an account with them. As these are low ARP accounts banks are not paying much attention to them.
