SBI Premier account or Government account now get RuPay Platinun/Select/Diamond/Gold/Diamond Select/Rhodium Debit Card

Thankyou. I have visited my branch and told about 16967. They have contacted them to know the code or way to apply. let's see what they say now.
Kaafi enthu hain aapke branch wale.......otherwise its difficult to see such thing in PSU banks! 👍

SBI Debit card names, variants, account type are not staff friendly...their system should display name of the card, benefits and fee etc before submitting the card application in bank server. But unfortunately, this is not the case .

Idiots have issued platinum rupay debit card when specifically asked for rupay platinum debit card
its the same thing.

Kabhi dhyan nahi Diya kya fark platinum pehle aur baad me lagane se.
Same thing bruh
Just a naming convention, varies with banks whether they put platinum before or after.
Some banks have their own account and card tiers, while card networks have their own separate tiers.

For example, SBI Bank has the following tiers:
  • Classic
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Rhodium, etc.
Meanwhile, the RuPay card network has its own tiers:
  • Classic
  • Platinum
  • Select
Now, if someone refers to a card as an "SBI Platinum RuPay Debit Card," it could mean:
  • It is an SBI Platinum Debit Card, but it falls under the RuPay Select tier.
  • The full name of the card would be "SBI Platinum RuPay Select Debit Card."
Similarly, if someone calls a card "SBI RuPay Platinum Debit Card," it could mean:
  • It is an SBI Gold, Diamond, or Silver Debit Card, but it falls under the RuPay Platinum tier.
  • The full name of the card would be "SBI Gold/Diamond/Silver RuPay Platinum Debit Card."
Finally, if a card is referred to as an "SBI Platinum RuPay Platinum Debit Card," it likely means:
  • It is an SBI Platinum Account’s Debit Card but it also falls under the RuPay Platinum tier.
  • The full name of the card would be "SBI Platinum RuPay Platinum Debit Card."
Sab k dimag ka dahi karne k liye thanks jarur bol dena. 😛😛

And I wasn’t joking about this—SBI’s debit card naming system genuinely works like this.

Has any of us got Rupay Select card for CGSP- PLATINUM account? .The option to apply Rupay selelct card is not available in internet banking. As per the brochure, CGSP-Platinum account is elgible for Rupay - Selelct but no option in netbanking and total cheating. I cannot imagine to go to my home branch which is 100 kms away for applying Rupay select card. SBI is cleverly playing and the staff also will not coopearte in applying rupay selelct card. Will customer care will help in applying the rupay select card?

This is the reason, even if Rupay Select card is in system, staffs are unable to identify code from system.
