Is corporate tie up necessary for salary account? The SBI folks are saying that they couldn't find my company's name in the list and can't move forward with the salary account conversion. They asked is someone else from my company has managed to convert it, that way they can contact the respective branch for knowing the process.

I have been charged 118 rupees from my salary account. Customer care says it is miscellaneous charge and for more details I should visit branch but I am not in my hometown. Anyone have any idea what this is for? I don't have cheque book and ATM card charges should not be there in salary account i guess. Even if it is ATM card charge it used to be 147 rupees before conversion to salary account.

There is an online option available to convert to Salary Account.

I have my salary credting to regular savings account for two yers. now I wish to convert it to salary account and add my family members to SBI Rishtey family account. Can I do this online without visiting branch.
