SBI Unipay - Payable amount field issue

Hi Team
When I try to give my mobile number n card last 4 digits for fetching my cc bill details sbi unipay is able to fetch from bbps

However it fails when I click proceed with error saying enter valid amount less than the generated bill amount

I tried with lesser amount and still got same error and I also tried to paid with exact amount fetched then also it failed

Does anyone face the same issue. I faced this with hdfc cc bill payment yesterday n today

I had paid icici n sbi yesterday but did not face this problem

Found this thread which is my exact scenario

There's a bug on their website, but you can bypass it by making the payment using a computer or laptop instead of a mobile device.

Steps to Work Around the Issue:

  1. Go to the Payment Details page.
  2. Locate the text box where you need to input the amount.
  3. Right-click on the text box and select "Inspect" (this will open the browser's Developer Tools).
  4. In the Developer Tools panel, search for netPayableAmtActual.
  5. You'll notice that the value is initially set to zero (0.00).
  6. Manually change the value to your desired amount in the HTML code as in Screenshot.
  7. Put the amount in the Net Payable Amount Box.
  8. Proceed with the payment as usual.

Once updated, the website should allow you to pay the amount as per your convenience. I've attached screenshots below for reference! 😊

If you read thread, there is a solution also. Just try that, it will work. Requesting mods to lock this thread as its pure duplicate of that.

I was also facing the same issue. But many thanks to @sibieeee for the workaround. This worked for me for making HDFC credit card bill payment through SBI Virtual Rupay Debit Card. My initial attempt to make payment above 50k failed. However, payment of 50000 was successful.
That's okay but you should know that with VDC you can pay 50K max. in a day that's why it failed. 50K in single on multiple txns but it can't be more than 50K per day. 🙂

this method worked, thanks for sharing.

I tried rounding off the payment as my bill was 5557.20 by putting value as 5600 INR, money got debited however payment failed - I guess I'll receive refund, just have to wait.

Then tried paying 1000 INR and it worked.
