SC Smart cashback redemption (minimum amount)

The SC Smart MITC clearly mentions that a minimum cashback of ₹1000 is needed for redemption and above ₹1000, the redemption can be done on increments of ₹500.

But, I opened the 360 rewards portal just now and there it says minimum ₹2500 cashback is needed for redemption. What's with the discrepancy? Has anyone else faced this?

Guys, any idea if SC makes exception and reverses annual fee in case you are not able to meet 1.2L spend.

I have made around 50k till now and renewal is due soon. Kindly suggest feasible options to spend the remaining amount considering the recent devaluations.

TIA.
Yes, they do. You may have to negotiate a little and threaten to close the card if they do not reverse the fees. I did it to reverse the joining fees, initially they did not agree when I said I want to close card then they transferred the call to rentention team who then reversed the joining fees. I plan to do to do so the same for annual fees as well if I don't meet the annual spend criteria.

As per the FAQs, if it is through Billdesk Or SC Bill Pay then you should get 2% cashback. Not sure about any other platform.
I believe that means the payments made via Billdesk or StanChart Bill Pay, other than Telecom and Utilities, will not earn any cashback. But the bill payments made using any other platform should earn cashback irrespective of the biller's category.

Are u able to see cashback section ?I can only see points section in 360 rewards in mobile app .it was showing before revamp by sc.
Yes, I can. I used to see both, Cashback as well as Reward Points, but after the upgrade they've removed the Reward Points tab for me, which makes sense because SC Smart is a cashback card.

They do, apparently but I'd take that with a grain of salt because it was the customer retention team that said this to me. After I had called and I asked SCB to close my Smart card, I got a call back from the customer retention team who told me that I could ask the bank to waive my annual fees if I haven't hit the 1.2L spending criteria.

They asked me to call the bank one month before the year ends, ie; after the 11th statement is generated to ask for the exception. That way, if the request is rejected, you'll have enough time to close the card before the annual fee is charged. I believe they charge the fee in the 13th/1st statement
