Few point of card closure or fee reversal
1. Never mail SC. Always call on two toll free numbers. IVRs are also messed up, select lost card option to go through CC rep.
2. Never ask for fee reversal directly. Most probably you will be rejected saying you are getting same amount of points.
3. Always make sure GST is also reversed. My fee and GST both are reversed on same day even though GST will be cut next month's statement. So I've 900 credit with me now.
4. While negotiating with retention team, put more stress on non availability of proper brand in 360 rewards, they can not deny the fact.
They said few new cards will be launched this year. I will only be interested in any cashback card like HSBC live+. Otherwise this is the last year with SC cards for me.
