Scapia RuPay Credit Cards Launched | 5X RP on UPI spend

Since this is basically a Travel CC, it's good to opt for Visa variant for those who plan trips abroad.

Those who plan to travel locally, one can opt for RuPay variant.

AND, Those who ALREADY has Visa variant - but want a RuPay variant of Scapia - MUST WAIT.

I got a mail from them saying so. Asking me to wait for some time (for a RuPay card) and keep on using Visa one till then.

Yes, 90% Indians dnt need International credit card. Only 10% credit card users use their card for international transaction.

I just got my Scapia Card approved today. The virtual card is the Visa Variant. I didn't see any option to choose between Visa and Rupay. Not that it matters much to me but other than my ICICI Coral, all my cards are Visa. Would love to have at least 1 each of Mastercard, Diners Club and Amex.

They said Visa Scapia holders must wait for sometime to get RuPay Scapia. How long ? No one is sure, as of now. But, I think it will be sooner...

Direct apply RuPay variant.

You live in USA right ?

A recent study says that Indians usage of RuPay credit cards in the USA has doubled in the last year.

Approx 99% places accept RuPay CC in USA because RuPay & JCB both tie-up with Discover card network. ATMs - tie-up with Pulse network.

We travel a lot to USA n Europe every alternative year. And tour extensively within India.

Back to Scapia, I got in writing from their top team that RuPay card seekers must wait. Duration not specified.

I know, he share about it when one SBI investor of the RIO RuPay Credit Card was his colleague or something like that.

Does Federal Bank still have the one card per customer criteria? Meaning no proprietary or co branded cards allowed if you have any existing?
