Schengen visa rejected by Austria

My wife and I applied for Schengen visa at VFS Austria.
When the Austrian embassy called up we messed up. We were not able to provide the complete details of our stay in Vienna. We are reapplying with few additional documents to show that we will return back (because the rejection letter said that there was no proof that we would return back).
Has anyone gone through reapplicaiton? Do they typically call us or would they blindly reject?

Hi sorry to hear that. I haven't gone through this process but thought to share couple of things which you might already be aware of

In my case for Switzerland, the primary thing they looked for was return journey flight tickets (booked refundable cancellable tickets ) and also accomodation booking for each night ( unless there is night travel)

Another thing was select option to return passport by courier to home. Read that this will make it easier to know the outcome most of the times since they send it to home if accepted and send to vfs for you to go pickup and sign rejection letter on case of rejection.

Also as mentioned before please try appealing instead of re applying.
