Shocking Decrease in SBI's credit Limit!!

Hey folks, do yourself a favor and take a peek at your credit limit in SBI cards. You might be in for a rude awakening, like I was. They slashed my limit to such a low amount, I can barely afford a bag of peanuts. Literally.

4L to 14k. Just hoping its some technical glitch. Have mailed to cc anyways

They are probably expecting new credit card applications inflow after Axis' fiasco. I guess they are reducing the limits of people with little to no utilisation. Increasing customer base, by not increasing exposure.

Btw, can anyone confirm whether this credit limit decrease occurred for individuals whose first SBI credit card was the SBI Cashback card?

Mine first and only card is cb card and no limit decrease.

My first card is BPCL and got Cashback card with 10K limit which was transferred from BPCL.
Now my most of the limit was on cashback card which they denied to transfer it back to BPCL and also reduced this limit.

After reading this thread, I checked SBI Card App.

Saalo ne Click ki limit ko reduce nhi kiya, jo last Year diwali ke baad se use hi nhi hua, not even a single txn
50k intact as it is.

Cashback SBI actively use kar raha hu, limit decrease kar di.

But in my case only 20% Decrease
100k to 80k.

Checked on sbi app, limit is the same first card sbi simplyclick limit is 1.69 lakhs and cb too limit is unchanged with some 70k limit.

Recently ICICI & RBL had done this. But on very small scale.

same my limit decreased from 4lakhs to 40000

already have 58000 outstanding and showing 18k as negative

Are they gonna charge you for over limit?

Last time it had happened in 2020. My limit came down from 6 lakh to 1.5 lakh. I closed my Ola & Simply Click card immediately !
