Shoutout - Trust @BestBanker for AMEX Card Applications

Want to give a big shoutout to @BestBanker for the amazingly smooth experience for my AMEX Card Application.

I wanted to have an AMEX credit card since long, but i knew my address pincode in KYC docs was not in AMEX serviceable area although I do job in a metro city which is serviceable by AMEX. I also did not want to get into that cycle of changing my address to get this card and then again change it back. I was always skeptical about it, since coming from a finance background, I know banks do this periodical KYC check and even if I did change the address now to get this card and then change it back, during the KYC check-up again it may come as a red flag or may be some other thing, but I didn't wanted to lose my peace of mind over it, I checked in various internet forums like redditt and all, checked YouTube videos and I also checked with customer care of AMEX if it is possible to issue card where I'm living in a serviceable city but have KYC docs of non-serviceable city, told them I can give all office address proof and all but they politely refused and one customer care executive even told me that she being an AMEX employee, can't apply to card because of non serviceable pincode in KYC docs and therefore I was content with whatever good cards I have and made up my mind and hence never tried to apply to AMEX card even once.

I'm a regular user of TF community and go through the threads whenever I have time and I always used to read about @BestBanker resolving AMEX application issues and thought of reaching out to him, but I also saw in one of his posts that if KYC docs have non-serviceable pincode even he can't help. I was very sure then AMEX is not possible for me atleast for now, may be sometime in future.

And then one fine day, I see @BestBanker posting the thread where he mentioned he can get the AMEX card approval even if you have non-serviceable pincode in KYC docs. Trust me, i felt it like a ray of hope, although I was very skeptical of reaching out to him, thinking what if it's a scam and all, how can I give my crucial private information to any unknown person, I don't even know him (i didn't even knew he worked for AMEX 🙈). But seeing his replies to other users, he seemed genuine, not making any grand promises, I thought, let's give him a try 😅

Firstly, I checked with him if he genuinely works for AMEX, once I was sure, then I moved forward with my AMEX Plat Travel application, had a discussion with him over phone, shared all the docs, filled the application in the same way he guided, and my application was submitted successfully. He also guided for Video KYC, and instantly Video KYC was completed (no questions asked apart from the one guided by the @BestBanker , it happened the exact same way) and Video KYC was successfully completed. No questions on KYC docs or current address, nothing. That was super smooth.

And voila, after 2 days my application was approved and card dispatched the next day. Honestly, I never expected it would be that smooth. But it was really a good experience. Of course, I won't be getting the extra 2000 MR points I could have got through the referrals and all, but I don't have any guilt of losing those points because I do not have to go through that circus of changing address and all and my application was approved so swiftly. I do plan my spends in such a way that I can derive the maximum benefit, I already have most of the required cards, AMEX was one of the cards left out and it is fulfilled now.

I genuinely want to thank @BestBanker for all the help he provided during the application. I definitely vouch for him and recommend all the TechnoFino users who are facing difficulty in getting the AMEX card to reach out to @BestBanker before you apply an AMEX card. He can only help you if you're reaching out to him before you apply to AMEX. Trust him on that and he will get the rest of the things done. Of course, you need to fulfil other AMEX criteria like good repayment history, good CIBIL score, income criteria etc etc.

Thank you once again @BestBanker for all the help. Plat Travel is done ✅ Next one would probably be MRCC 😄. I already have in mind the 90 days window as you advised 👍. I will possibly disturb you again after that 😅 and hopefully you will have something to offer again during that time, since that would be around end of FY, guess should be fine, i have my fingers crossed 🤞.

Warm Regards

Congrats on your first AmEx card. 😀

Dealing with a direct AmEx employee works in such exceptional cases.
Losing out a few thousand points to ensure your card gets approved!

In most cases where the users are in service-able pincode, the referral links work great for free extra points!

Congrats on your first Amex card. Bestbanker had also helped in getting plat charge with 20k bonus referral and 1lk Mr instead of 40k Taj voucher. He is the best.

Is there any charges for help? Because nothing is free here. By seeing post itself, its clear that it is forced post.
Nothing is forced buddy. And there are no charges.

Yes, nothing is free. When he's helping you to get the approvals, you're also helping him achieve his targets. Also, you lose out on the 2000 MR points on referral link application. So, yes that's the only thing you lose. Going through this route will cost you 2000 MR points.

Good luck if you ought to apply 👍

Yeah I don't think at that time there was so much craze abt amex that is why they ran offer
Guess at that time, AMEX acceptance would have been low as well and very limited users so they probably wanted to expand their base. Good thing is that the benefits of AMEX (apart from one or two) hasn't changed a lot. There is consistency. So, that's may be people moving towards AMEX. Not sure if it would remain the same once they have a sizeable base. But good to enjoy till it lasts.

Tre dat !

Yes, MRCC will complement Plat Travel a lot, especially with monthly milestones each at Rs 6k and Rs 20k. Gold Charge is more beneficial if you buy lot of vouchers, it doesn't attract me much though.
But Bestbanker said that he can't do same thing(applying card without serviceable pin code) for MRCC/Gold Charge that's why I didn't try to apply AmEx Plat Travel
