Some good news for ICICI Emeralde Private Metal users

Now you can convert your RPs for Air India miles. For Emeralde Private Metal users, its 1:1

ICICI Emeralde Private Metal is refunding few paise more than the actual fuel surcharge. Is it a calculation mistake.
Did anyone else also notice this.

Fuel surcharge is calculated on the amount you spend on fuel (4000 in this case) 1% (40) + gst (7.2)

Some banks calculate reversal on the total amount you spend on fuel, including the surcharge (4047.20 in this case) 1% (40.47) + gst (7.29)

Happens with my BOB HPCL Energie credit card. They won't take it back.

" Even for statement credit it will be 1=1 , previous it has different redeemption rate for every categories.

Do note following for Emeralde Private Metal:

1. There is no option to redeem rewards for cash/statement.
2. Redemption is only against vouchers. Some examples attached. Additionally there is a Rs 99 + GST charge per redemption.

Another Caveat: Suppose you redeem reward points for a makemytrip gift card. When you would apply gift card, it would compulsorily remove discount code, thereby increasing the price.

to be honest , i don't see much spend based benefit here, rate of return wont be great , I have DCB Metal will keep using same only.

No. 60 Paisa value for Amazon and Flipkart and Swiggy.
This shows the true value of the Emerald private metal point.
No point in using it to accumulate points, just use the non spend benefits and don't spend anything

If statement credit is offered at 1 rupee then no one will take anything else

They've again modified the terms pdf in May 2024. They've removed the table mentioning 0.6 @TechnoFino or someone using the card please confirm AGV redemption value.
