Steps for getting invite for RBL Zomato Edition CC

Initially I heard from a youtuber that I can request the bank for the card but even he was not sure about the approach.

Step 1: I posted a tweet tagging RBL bank and RBL care team that I am interested in their Zomato Edition Card. The bank replied that it is invite based card and wait for the invite to get the card.



Step 2: I noticed a reply from Edition team, which I suppose is the official account by Zomato to DM them my registered phone and email address. Initially I ignored the reply since it was already deferred by the banking partner. But, then I thought of giving it a try and replied to Edition team with my details on DM.



Step 3: Exactly after 4 days of providing my zomato account details the Edition team reverted back and asked me check my Zomato account after 24-48 hours for the invite. This morning when I checked my Zomato app, I saw the invite visible in Money tab.

Step 4: Just provided my PAN details in the Zomato app and within 2 minutes my Credit Limit was displayed. I completed my KYC with the bank and within 30 minutes received mail that my virtual card is active to use.

I have tried my best to jot down the steps and all the necessary things which I did to get the card. Please feel free to ask thing regarding the same. I will be more than happy to help.

Yes.

During kyc she asked current location and told the same. She verified against the gps location she got.
Few minutes later, she called again saying kyc didn't get approved due to technical issue and sent a link again.
This time she she asked aadhar location and told her that. Approved after 5 minutes only.

No, aadhar and delivery city was same. Just current location was different.

Not necessarily, I got my ICICI MMT Platinum with a validity of 7 years, so 5 years is not mandatory, depends on bank. You will get Zomato Pro membership lifetime, since your card validity is for 6 years so its showing Zomato pro for 6 yrs, after 6 year again they will increase the validity till the time you keep this card.. and 500 credits as welcome offer is only for those who pay Joining Fee of Rs 500, we are offered LTF, so no credits..

I saw one message in the same forum, that he had an existing RBL CC, applied for Zomato RBL Edition CC, got rejected straight away, next day he got a call from RBL Bank to upgrade his existing Cc to Zomato cc

Hmm. I am thinking to directly contact RBL CC Support first and ask them to give upgrade (after I get an invite, I should be getting in 24 hours).

If they agree, good. If they don't agree I will close existing rbl cc (paisaondemand cc, waste h), and then apply.

Yes exactly, Zomato RBL CC is hands down far better than your existing card, plus LTF and cb is nice 🙂

My MMT ICICI had 4 years only 😅.

Does this card give Cashback on wallet loads? If that works, everyone can just use the birthday spends on that and no need to plan the expenses.

Or, any way to move birthday offer to some other day? I have insurance payments scheduled on different date.

after my video vkyc got a call from RBL that my pan card (new Pan with QR Code) is not original 🤷‍♂️ so they asked old pan and did re- vkyc and got approval next minute

Have you called them and asked for upgrade from shoprite to Zomato edition classic card or emailed customer care?

@TechnoFino @anirbanm I got the Invitation but after filling up the details,it got rejected showing 'we are unable to issue you a card'.

Please help me anyone.

Um probably because you already have one RBL card

You could try contacting RBL and tel then to upgrade your card to Zomato Edition RBL card

What are the chances of upgrade? Will that be LTF. I have RBL shoplite and Zomato one got rejected instantly
