Stuck!! HDFC Giftplus Card

Received HDFC Gift Plus Card from a friend. Activated it online when received and the balance was updated the next day (alert received via SMS)

Now I am stuck with this card. Tried multiple merchants online and the transactions don’t go through. ATM Cash Withdrawals are not possible. The card does not have a chip surprisingly so couldn’t use at 1-2 offline outlets too.

Any help from CC geeks here would be appreciated.

Went for this as the first thing. Trasnaction gets declined everytime.
