Issue Resolved Stuck in a Crisis ..... What’s the Best Way to Use My Credit Cards?

The highlighted issue has been resolved by the bank/financial institution.

I honestly don’t know what to do right now. My father is battling kidney failure, and the hospital bills are piling up faster than I can even process. By the 17th or 18th, I need to arrange ₹12L, and I’ve somehow managed to pull together most of it. But I’m still ₹5L short, and time is running out. I don’t have the option of borrowing from friends or family—that’s just not on the table for me. So I started looking at what I do have, and that’s my credit cards—Axis Neo RuPay with a ₹4L limit, HDFC Tata Neu Plus RuPay, and a few others. I thought maybe I could transfer money from my credit card to my bank account, but I need to find a way to do it without burning a hole in my pocket. A personal loan? Yeah, that’s an option, but honestly, I’d rather avoid it if I can. The interest is high, and the worst part? My father's medical insurance claim is already in process. I’ve been fighting tooth and nail with the insurance company, and I’m working with Insurance Samadhan to get it sorted. They’ve assured me that I should get reimbursed within the next month. So if I take a personal loan now, I’ll just be stuck paying unnecessary interest, and if I try to close it early, I’ll get hit with ridiculous pre-closure charges. I even considered setting up a merchant account in my mother’s name and doing multiple transactions, but let’s be real—that’s going to raise red flags, and the last thing I need is for my bank account to get blocked or an Income Tax Department Notice, when I need this money the most. The other option is those credit card to bank transfer apps, but I don’t trust them. Most of them charge insane 2-3%+ fees, and I can’t afford to get scammed in those scammy apps or stuck in another mess when I’m already drowning in this one. So, I’m out of ideas. If there’s any legit way to move this ₹5L from my credit card to my bank account without paying an insane amount in fees, I need to know. If not, I guess I’ll just have to take the bullet and take the personal loan. But if there’s even the slightest chance that I can avoid that, I’d rather go down that road if it is genuine. If anyone has been through something similar or knows of a way out, please help. I don’t have time to experiment, and I don’t want to make a mistake that could cost me even more. Every bit of advice counts right now.

Thank you

Go to nearby fuel pump and ask for cash at 0.5-1% commission.

Best and safest way so far.........

If insurance claim doesn't passes next month, take Personal Loan and re-pay all card dues.

Don't ever think of rotating card Balance even for a month.
Fuel pump???? what about fuel surcharge??? And why would they do me such a favour? I mean I am just curious behind the logic.

Yes i'm very certain of claim being passed and if not i'll pay off the credit card bills howsoever.

Am I missing something? Why the need to transfer to acct? Why not directly use the cards at the hospital for payment?
I faced similar situation in 2003, when my father was in ICU for about 3 weeks and had pacemaker implant and then again in 2014, when my mother was in ICU intermittently for about 4 mths.
Both times, the credit cards helped to temporarily finance the requirements and then, once the medical emergency was taken care of, I arranged funds from other sources to pay the CC bills.

You should request them to help out in emergency, by giving benefit to them too like 1% etc
Gas ⛽️, vendors

1. You don't have better than this, cause cc to bank apps/people loots more and more
2. Income tax issue: you can simply tell that you made tax behalf of someone and you earned 1% on that.

I also have question, y doesn't hospital accept cc ? Even in tier 2 city, small hospitals accepts cc

Y dont u pay directly to hospital by cc. Now evry1 has pos machine.
Next option is to swipe at somwhr who can pay u back after mdr deduction. Usually petrol pumps n jwellers hv big daily transactions.

Because they have mentioned that they'll charge 5% as processing fee + GST on payments via cc here in Fo**is. So that is actually more than the interest.

First approach vendors

Second, search for the people who would transfer cc to bank at <2% .. enquire in your city

Third, write a status post in tf & ask anyone/enquire to transfer cc to bank to lowest charges

Fourth, apps

Fuel stations doesn't get charged MDR, it gets passed to customer in form of fuel surcharge. @Trump No one does favour to anyone! You are in trouble and you have to help urself.

I already mentioned they do it for 1% extra. So swipe 1L and they will give u only 99k.

Plus he has to pay fuel surcharge beyond waiver limit. Best way is if u know any merchant den swipe at his shop n pay mdr. This way some amount of ur mdr charges can b compensated thru ur reward or cashback

Hv u tried bargaining wid hospital. 5% to koi bhi charge nhi karta.
Atleast some amount they can take wid cc without extra charge

Genuine or Money rotation, there are no options to transfer credit to debit under 3%. Most of the routes closed, remaining banks kept additional surcharges if used.

Better option go for loan on credit card, personal loan and settle slowly beacuse u already in financial crisis.

Note: Credit cards must and should settle before due date, interest on late payment will be very high that none of these apps help u in those cases.

Its better to take loan than play game with credit card in these situations, a simple delay in insurance company will leave you bigger impact with credit companies, that you wont recover.

My suggestion, take loan on credit card with 3 or 6, slowly settle once insurance amount received. Trust me, you'll be in peaceful postion in this way.
