Issue Resolved Stuck in a Crisis ..... What’s the Best Way to Use My Credit Cards?

The highlighted issue has been resolved by the bank/financial institution.
I honestly don’t know what to do right now. My father is battling kidney failure, and the hospital bills are piling up faster than I can even process. By the 17th or 18th, I need to arrange ₹12L, and I’ve somehow managed to pull together most of it. But I’m still ₹5L short, and time is running out. I don’t have the option of borrowing from friends or family—that’s just not on the table for me. So I started looking at what I do have, and that’s my credit cards—Axis Neo RuPay with a ₹4L limit, HDFC Tata Neu Plus RuPay, and a few others. I thought maybe I could transfer money from my credit card to my bank account, but I need to find a way to do it without burning a hole in my pocket. A personal loan? Yeah, that’s an option, but honestly, I’d rather avoid it if I can. The interest is high, and the worst part? My father's medical insurance claim is already in process. I’ve been fighting tooth and nail with the insurance company, and I’m working with Insurance Samadhan to get it sorted. They’ve assured me that I should get reimbursed within the next month. So if I take a personal loan now, I’ll just be stuck paying unnecessary interest, and if I try to close it early, I’ll get hit with ridiculous pre-closure charges. I even considered setting up a merchant account in my mother’s name and doing multiple transactions, but let’s be real—that’s going to raise red flags, and the last thing I need is for my bank account to get blocked or an Income Tax Department Notice, when I need this money the most. The other option is those credit card to bank transfer apps, but I don’t trust them. Most of them charge insane 2-3%+ fees, and I can’t afford to get scammed in those scammy apps or stuck in another mess when I’m already drowning in this one. So, I’m out of ideas. If there’s any legit way to move this ₹5L from my credit card to my bank account without paying an insane amount in fees, I need to know. If not, I guess I’ll just have to take the bullet and take the personal loan. But if there’s even the slightest chance that I can avoid that, I’d rather go down that road if it is genuine. If anyone has been through something similar or knows of a way out, please help. I don’t have time to experiment, and I don’t want to make a mistake that could cost me even more. Every bit of advice counts right now.

Thank you

First option search of credit card to bank account services physical shop in your city. They charge 2%.
If you dont get any, Use mobikwik for tranfer to wallet and then to bank. I think 2.5% they charge.

My suggestion is.
If payment by cash is the only option, U can use genuine apps like Mobikwik, CRED etc.. Pay whatever the extra % for Credit Card to Bank transfer.. This is hassel free and does the job.

The main issue I have heard from petrol pumps is, If they swipe our card and give us money, whatever amount that is swiped is logically a business income for them and it is accounted. So they have to pay taxes accordingly. (Not sure how much this is true. A friend of mine who works in a petrol pump said me this on asking why don’t they help in CC to Cash swiping)

Ask the hospital if they would accept debit card without charges. Then you can think of loading via CC to different wallets (subject to limit) transfer to bank and then pay. That would normally cost less than 3%.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for the trouble here. I am thankful for everyone's inputs in such a difficult situation for me. Therefore after multiple responses that such a charge is illegal and actually unethical. I raised this issue before secretarial@fortishealthcare.com

They reverted me back today morning that they are not aware of any such processing fee and there is no such policy. After this I Have received a call from the Fo**is location which I referred to them in the initial email and the executive was not so happy about my complaint and he totally blamed it on their staff that they are responsible for the "Misinterpretation". I definitely see it as an internal direction (not sure about any other location) to come up with arbitrary processing fees to save on MDR on such large bills, because they definitely accept credit cards normally during the blood tests. I think this is to discourage credit cards as a mode of payment. Anyways they have apologised to me and have assured me that they will accept all credit card payments.

I cannot thank enough all the members in this community because I am actually somewhat relieved if not completely yet, but even 6k-7k is a lot to me at this point. I thank all well-wishers and especially @Vasuki @TechnoFino @Rkr @BVC @vaibhav111 . Suman Da Personally reached out to me on this and offered to help me in such a difficult time. I never thought of this and actually it has made me happy that we as a community can help each other collectively.

The Loopholes I have Discovered
.
.
.
.
Please Don't abuse or try to find any loopholes regarding "CC TO BANK", I was very desperate and asked for help, yet honestly I have found nothing. A personal loan was anyday better than these LOOPHOLES.

REMEMBER THE MORE YOU ABUSE THE SYSTEM, THERE IS MORE DEVALUATION TO COME.

Also never fall in trap of any of the scammy fake apps, they'll result you in huge financial losses and leave you in trouble.

And yes lastly, if bank finds anything suspicious your card will be cancelled and at worse check this - Income Tax AIS Post - and you'll find how bad the situation can get you.

This is enough for today, thank you everyone, stay safe and please take care of your family because at the end of the day everything else, be it Infinia or Biz Black, everything is meaningless without your loved ones.

Thank You

UPDATE: Today on February 19, 2025 medical insurance claim got approved and I'll be reimbursed. All thanks to Insurance Samadhan
