I did not apply for any ICICI credit card since I already have 2 of them. But yesterday I checked my CIBIL report & saw an enquiry by ICICI bank. Only one thing which I had done recently is sending an email for limit increase of my existing ICICI credit card & nothing else. So what should I do now?

For manual LE they make cibil inquiry. You can ask them to remove the inquiry but don't keep your hopes high.

I keep seeing random "personal loan" enquiries by icici bank on my cibil report. Although I have sent email to them recently, I dont have much hopes that they would fix anything.

So far, I have tried manual LE with following banks and below is the list who hit CIBIL and those who didn't.

1. ICICI - Yes
2. IndusInd - No
3. Axis - Yes
4. Kotak - No
5. HDFC - Yes
6. IDFC - No
7. SBI - No
If anyone has tried other banks apart from these, feel free to add.
IndusInd did for mine. Weird !

Also can any one tell me if ICICI does the CIBIL enquiry after checking if the income docs are in order ? As in is CIBIL enquiry done after checking the Income docs & is the last stage of the process ? Lastly how long will it take after the CIBIL enquiry for ICICI to increase the limit ? I just got a notification that ICICI did an enquiry for 1 rupee.

Usually, ICICI takes their own time. If enquiry is done, it usually means they have already processed the request for LE and once they get the confirmation, they will provide you an update with email. When enquiry is done, you should see updated limit in the app within 24-48 hrs.

Oh, if the inquiry is completed, they will definitely increase the limit, right?
