DCB Suggest ways to maximise rewards of DCB Metal card with smartbuy and other spends

Are gold coins excluded in dcb rp ? ie buying gold coins from local stores.
I’d like to buy them off Amazon with gyftr vouchers but the coins cost around 75k each (24k,10gm) and I read that hdfc gyftr only gives 20k a month for purchases.
PS: I’m not sure if this works but if it’s 20k for apay gift card and 20k for apay shopping voucher , I suppose I can take those + cover the extra with the card itself. I also hold Amex cards and they have a limit of 10k lol.

Move your spends to smartbuy
Use smart buy gyftr to buy apay , ASV , and other vouchers
For flights and hotel use Smartbuy again
The monthly and daily limit for DCB metal is 10k accelerated points so calculate 4x points upto that limit in a day or in month.
Next step is activate GVP
Offline acceptance of diners can be a problem but online it's pretty decent , so try to complete your forex spends using this
Try to hit the quarterly milestone atleast twice

For buying gold in local stores will give normal rewards ( 5RPs for 150 Rs).
From smart buy you can buy ASV up to 25000 and apay gift card 20000 but you can accom0date for few months and then buy heavy purchase .. I am not sure ASV limit but for apay gift card limit is 1 lakh for KYC customer.

That’s good, I don’t mind doing 45k via gyftr (asv and agc) and then just swiping the card for the rest (I can also use my Amex gyftr multiplier here too tbh for the rest of the amount, I don’t think Amex limit and hdfc limit is combined) .
The purchases will be made per month, so the 1 L limit shouldn’t be an issue. Is AGV 25k though, I saw some posts saying 10k .
What is GVP and how is it beneficial ?

I'm very confused about the 10K accelerated reward cap on DCB metal and how to reach it. If I'm only buying in Smartbuy-Gyftr (APAY, ASV etc), how much should I spend to reach the accelerated reward cap of 10K points? Is it around 1 Lakh? (100000*3.33*3/100 ~ 9990) or 1.5 lakh (150000*3.33*2/100 ~ 9990)

10k bonus is on 4Lakhs spend every quarter.. so u have to spend 4L on eligible spends.. u will get normal return in 4 L depending on whr u spend + 10k extra per qtr

Milestone remainis same at 4L per quarter.
He is talking about the cap for 3x reward points for purchasing vouchers via smartbuy.
oops.. ok....hw much smartbuy pm to meet 4L qtrly... got it.. hope his understanding is the same..

there are 2 different 10k point items with DCB metal card and I think that's confusing.
the 10K points I mentioned in my original post is the accelerated rewards cap per month for DCB.
we can only get up to 10K of these accelerated points (2x, 3x, 5x, 10x). for example, if you spend 1.5 lakh in 3x category (samrtbuy-gyftr called instant voucher in the image), your accelerated rewards are done (you get 10k of them). You will just get the base rewards of 3.33 for all other spends even if you buy flights/hotels on smartbuy etc
the other 10k points are the bonus reward if you reach 4L spends in a calendar quarter (Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sept, Oct-Dec)
The limits are on the extra points so remove the base 3.33% and then calculate the 10k limit.. eg.. in a 3x calculate only 2x against the 10k limit / in 5x only calculate 4x against the 10k limit...

I tried to buy Amazon Pay vouchers from Smartbuy but the transaction got cancelled unexpectedly. When I tried to buy vouchers again, the portal gave an error saying only Rs.10K vouchers can be purchased in a month. I assume it is waiting for the status of the failed transaction and this limit will be removed soon? I tried this on PayZapp smartbuy.
