Infinia Suggestions for HDFC Infinia Reward Points Redemption

Hi everyone,

I'm looking towards the redemption of my HDFC Infinia Reward Points (1 Lac +) but unable to come to reasonable conclusion as to which is the best option to go ahead with. Based on my understanding the 1:1 options include travel on HDFC smartbuy, Tanishq Vouchers, Apple Redemptions (Though all at MRP). Another catch is to pay 70% by points and rest through card rule.

2nd option is to transfer it to miles but only with 1:1 partners like Accor, etc.

Any suggestions will be more than welcome.

Why did you opt for Infinia and spend on it if you didn't have a plan or use for these points? Go visit Europe, US, Korea etc and buy the ticket with these points. Or book a hotel.

Hey everyone,

I've finally accumulated close to 1 lac points and this is going to be my first redemption.

I have a query, do we get accelerated reward points on the payment of remaining 30%? I found conflicting information online. Some say we still get accelerated reward points and some say they no longer give bonus RPs, only regular RPs.

Can someone clarify? Going to redeem the points for an apple product as well as Tanishq voucher.

Personally i feel redemption for flight is best option. whenever i have points to redeem 70% of ticket price for upcoming trips, i never compare with what flight's own website/OTAs are giving as i think i have reduced flight price by 70% and that is why we are using credit card to earn points for redemption. For ex. if ticket price is 10k and other OTAs are giving even 20%-25% discount, i think that infinia is giving 70% discount, my flight price is 3k. peace of mind !

earlier we used to get 5X on 30% payment part even in Tanishq & Apple redemption, but they have stopped giving 5X since last June I guess, so only Flight redemption make sense now.

for the sake of simplicity - I prefer Infinia for Apple redemption mostly & BizBlack for flights/Hotels
