Swiggy Allows to Redeem IndusInd Credit Card Reward Points

This took me by surprise today morning when I tried to order something from Swiggy app. The payment option is showing this new section called Rewards. Currently it is giving me option to redeem my IndusInd Pinnacle credit card points. Not showing any option for other cards I keep.

I think it's good for someone who don't want to dig deep into the reward system and just get some discount out of the orders. And best of all, no redemption fees applicable! 🥳

It is a partnership of Swiggy with PayWithRewards (Twid) rewards. You can redeem upto 15% of the order value. Eg. If the order is 500, you can redeem points worth Rs.75. The conversion rate is roughly 0.84 for RP to cash. Discount is applied on the final amount. Remaining amount should be paid using IndusInd credit card while redeeming the points.

Tip: In case this section is not showing for you, try saving the IndusInd credit card details in your Swiggy app. It might solve the issue. Also as per tweet from PayWithRewards, this feature is being rolled out in phases, so if you don’t see it yet, no worries! It’s on its way.

Trying to understand how does it list the cards for redeeming points.

Honestly, I can't even remember using this Pinnacle CC on Swiggy any time as there was not instant discount offers. Whenever I get a new CC, I just save it in Swiggy, hoping that some offer would show up some day 😃 Try saving the card details in Swiggy and this section might just appear for you.

I don't have any idea about redemption fees, redemption ratio, etc. Maybe they will add more Banks and cards to this section. In case anyone have better idea, please do share for benefit of others.

Looks like twidpay logo on indus card so it could be twidpay partnering with swiggy to redeem rewards or I could be wrong too

It is infact twidpay. It's not worth redeeming indus points in twidpay, as you'll have to pay the remaining amount (you can use a maximum of 50% of your available points/20% of the bill amount) via indus cc (with poor rewards) as well.

Partnership with twidpay. It finds your eligible credit cards via your phone number. Your Swiggy phone number must be the same as your IndusInd registered phone number.

True. But you do miss out on rewards on the remaining amount

For example, in this case of swiggy. Let's say your order value is 450. You can use a maximum of 120 points for Rs 90 value (if you have 240 points at least). For the remaining 360, you get measly rewards. On the other hand, if you use HDFC Swiggy/HSBC Live+/Airtel Axis card, you get 10% cashback.

What I do is, I send money to my account via Snapay - twidpay and use indus points. After subtracting charges, points value comes to around Rs 0.6/pt

It is a good option to redeem if your existing number is points is at least 27-30% of the bill amount👍 (you can use a maximum of 50% available points or value of 20% of the bill amount)

Direct convert to cash gives value of 0.5/pt and there's redemption fee of 99+GST
