Scenario: Booked ~ 10K priced Taj hotel via Tata Neu (member rate?)

I want to use my Taj AmEx GV but customer care clearly denied Taj AmEx GV is not valid for member rates for example booking by Tata Neu. What's the best way out? Or only option is to book at regular rates?

Have you used it for spa before? I also have 15k voucher which i am planning to use for spa without booking room. i can see on faq of taj experience card i it is allowed. trying to confirm with someone if they have used before ?

I have many times booked at member rate and used amex taj gv everytime without any issues. Just inform at reception that you will be using gv for payment at checkin

Call the hotel directly..and check how much are normal rate difference. If it's less then change your booking to normal rates and redeem the voucher at hotel

Book member rate and avail Taj amex gv at the property. I stayed at 9 different Taj property in last 1 year and always used Amex GV, never had any issues.

Ignore what their CC says. Front desk won't even ask it's amex, citi prestige or whatever.

It worked flawlessly.

I have used it many a times for SPA. Also to book you should use Taj website and use the option pay at hotel. You can use GV at reception.

Taj neu rates will not allow you to use GV at the hotel.

Is it like, we can use that only for SPA without staying there?

It's good to see so many people redeeming Amex Taj GV on members rate without any issue,
I've heard 1 person before telling that of the multiple properties he had stayed at, only 1 property denied him using GV on discounted rate,
So last year i used my GV on full rate,

But this I'll risk and try to use it on members rate

Taj Heritage Goa refused to accept GV without normal rates. Though the difference was quite less however please note this.

Yes. You can call in advance and check. Also check if its possible to convert to normal rates at time of check in.
