Taj IHCL booking via tata neu app Query

Hey guys, have a query

I want to make a booking for a friend via neupass on the tata neu app. I'm on the legend tier and hence I'm getting a very good rate. However the minute I select " book for someone else " and input their details the price changes to standard non neu pass price.

Now my question is if I change my name in the tata neu app ( instant ) to my friends name and make the booking ( number and email will be mine) , will I be able to make the booking in legend rate?

And then will I be able to change the name back to mine once changed?

Has anyone tried this and has it worked?

Don't risk your account.
Instead, call the Hotel and ask if they honor the name change request/allow someone else on that booking. (If fully refundable, then try after making the booking.)

PS: They are member-only rates provided because of the IHCL Silver Membership.
Even if you create a new account for your friend and spend 5K to fall into the Insider Category, the same hotel rates will apply to him.
