It's a community platform everything is live.
And cloudflare uses caching. Both goes in different direction. So it won't be a good solution
Cloudflare provides DNS Proxy which is enough to prevent fom common attack vectors without caching.
Switched to cloudflare and fastly, performing well.... and with some cloudflare rules... Chinese traffic is now under control.

Different VPS, our current service provider doesn't have a data center in india.

Maybe these are people living in chinese border areas and using a chinese sim card or China Mobile or Unicom.
Once my own website started getting too many hits from Bangladesh and that was the case i.e border areas heaven.

This morning, Chinese traffic is back.... right now it’s actually higher than Indian traffic. Strange! I’ve imposed a Cloudflare challenge for China and Mongolia. Are you noticing any performance changes? Personally, I can’t see any performance-related issues so far.
