Hello everyone, I have been tried to apply for an IDFC First Credit Card for the past 2 years and everytime after filling Employment Details and Card2Card Details, the system throws error 'Sorry Unable to Proceed' and at the same time gets SMS as application rejected. Previously when I called CC, everytime I heard is Internal Bank Policy. Last month when I checked with CC, they told like I may have a Late Payment or a payment delay in my consumable loan (Flipkart PayLater) marking me as a payment defaulter. I decided to take this up with IDFC PNO, attached the latest Cibil report of 45 Pages and got reply today as below:
'Thank you for your recent credit card application. We have carefully reviewed your query and regret to inform you that, based on our internal policies and the confirmation from our relevant team, we are unable to approve your application at this time due to historic delinquency.
Please note that the approval of credit card applications is based on several factors and checks as per the bank's internal policy. Unfortunately, your application did not meet these criteria.'
Please note I'm holding 20 credit card line-ups including super-premium like ICICI Emaralde, have Cibil Score of 790 (last checked on 9th January 2025) and ZERO late payments.
I will escalate this matter to RBI Ombudman and need all your expert advice to screw IDFC.

Previously IDFC won once in case of RBI Ombudsman complaint against Future First account (will share that story in comment tomorrow). Need to give a tight lession to them this time.
