Time to close Fi Bank account?

Fi debit card will now no longer be free if you don't upgrade your account. You can opt out of the physical card, and have a free virtual debit card though.

I guess for standard account they are gonna charge for physical debit card that’s why they are sending mails to everyone as Federal bank has revised the debit card charges.

They started from neo banking and still they are in neo banking but they consider themselves as premium banks.
At beginning all conditions are free and now it's chargeable except salary & high balance maintenance account.
All top primium banks are providing such benefits,so why should one keep their account?

Time comes to close them.

There's a link to disable physical card and have a virtual debit card in the bottom of that email. Try that.

Have filled the form for virtual debit card. I am also considering to close the account as it's not good anymore!

I placed a closer request yesterday, this is no more useful lot of restrictions. Recently got indus exclusive account so fi is no longer required

We should complain about it to the rbi ombudsman. These neobank jupiter money and fi money came with a promise of the low fees banking but they are not following their promise. They had said that they don't provide the physical branches and don't provide any services like the phone number change and nominee change then what is the benefits of the these neobank we should ban them.

Send an email to customer care , they will send a detailed list of steps. (Actually quite cool. No other Bank does this).
Goto profile - settings - at the end click on account closure 'here', and follow the next steps.
It may take more than a week to actually get closed. Still waiting for confirmation for my account.

Filled the form. But there's no confirmation mail or sms for change to virtual card and nothing in the app as well. Maybe it takes time?

Don't close it. They will just waive the charges if you complain to rbi ombudsman about the other service which they are not providing.

Federal bank is regulated by RBI not epiFi Technology Private Limited. FYI Federal Bank is already charging for their debit cards.

Won't work. First of all, "Fi" doesn't offer these accounts/debit cards it's Federal Bank. Second, they did nothing wrong in revising the charges as they have informed the affected customers well in advance to make a decision. It's upto bank's discretion to update charges for any service they offer, it's upto customer's discretion whether they want to continue further with that or not!

Yes that's correct. But they are not providing all the services which are needed for the banks
