Title: ICICI Net Banking’s New UI – Worst Experience Ever?

Recently, ICICI rolled out its new net banking UI, and honestly, it feels like the worst net banking experience I’ve ever had. Even Indian Bank’s net banking looks and works better than this.

The earlier UI wasn’t fancy, but it did the job beautifully. Everything was simple and right there – you could instantly see how much bill was generated, how much of the previous bill was outstanding, and what had been paid. Now? That’s all gone.

In the new version, if you want to check your previous bill or payment details, you actually have to add the statement and dig through it just to confirm if that exact amount has been paid. Why make a customer work harder for something that used to be so clear?

And here’s the biggest joke – the site keeps toggling between the old and new UI. Try upgrading your card, and suddenly you’re redirected back to the old interface and one more twist now u had landed to old net banking UI if u tap any thing here in old UI instantly u will be redirected to again new one with loading interface(with lots of time waste) seems they had not completed their work if u tap on profile section in new UI it will keep loading and will not open any thing and few times in my case it redirected me to old UI, What’s the point of a revamp if you can’t even keep it consistent?

This is not an upgrade, this is a downgrade. The previous version was way more intuitive and customer-friendly. The new one feels like a half-baked experiment pushed on customers without proper testing. Only one thing I liked in this UI is that now they are showing separate statement for add-on card also this was not the case earlier.

Think about this: how often has Amazon or Google completely changed their UI? Rarely, if ever. Amazon has looked and felt familiar for years – and that familiarity gives comfort, reduces confusion, and keeps people using it seamlessly. ICICI’s new UI feels exactly the opposite – confusing, irritating, and time-wasting.

Has anyone else faced this mess? Or am I the only one stuck toggling between UIs and trying to figure out where the most basic info is hidden?

Right now, throughout the production site. There are 3 separate UIs of the bank toggled between on various pages....

ICICI is possibly doing cost cutting and using interns for their web development. This is the worst netbanking experience ever in last 20 years of my banking with them. And there was a time when they had the best possible one.

I noticed more transactions (something as simple as NEFT/IMPS) failing in the new UI saying that I have reached the limits (even on the 1st transaction of the day and within the account transaction limits). Have to keep trying the same transaction a few times whenever this happens.
