Tokenized tap and pay transaction controls

SBI CARDS has a separate transaction control for tokenized payments
The standard one's are atm, merchant, online, tap and pay

I just realised my icici amazon pay is working on cred and gpay for tap to pay without tap and pay transactions being on in iMobile app

How does this work for other banks

I use gapy for tap & pay...IDFC does not work on both gpay and Samsung pay....As per my understanding, it depends on the tie up between the bank and the app.

tap and pay & tokenization are different...tokenization is permission to save the card details as per RBI guidelines (Card details are not saved on the app server)....tap & pay use tokenization to save the card details.

For all the banks there is separate transaction control for tokenized payments., which is controlled separately.....In short, all cards support tokenization but not tap & pay.

It could be because of one possible reason I can think of, i.e, it's treated like how the tokenization is made on online merchant establishments, like we tokenise on Flipkart, Amazon or tap to pay card control setting is designed for tap to made with physical card but mobile one could have been integrated with merchant or if not then online in case of ICICI.

It works differently, Kotak has also 2 different settings, that's good and every bank should keep the same.

Some banks have only one single setting; Contactless, that's responsible for both txn using physical card and virtual one.

In tokenized tap and pay transactions, card details are replaced with unique tokens, enabling safe contactless payments with better control over transaction limits.
