Depends on what you want to do. If you can extend your intended stay duration to 10 days, you can replicate my itinerary. I covered Kuala Lumpur, George Town and Langkawi. Also, I think now you can enter Malaysia visa-free.

I didn’t use the metro services as Grab/Gojek was more convenient and rented a car in Langkawi as we were a group of 4.

2019. So it was a while back. For 4 days, I think you can either cover Kuala Lumpur or Langkawi. I would suggest you visit Langkawi as it has more to offer.

Went to malasia for 15 day trip in aug this yr. with wife.

30 days evisa online in less than 12 hours. Flights by singapore airlines (was more cheaper than airasia at that time). So we tour singapore airport also on transit and use the ambassador lounge as well.

Hotels: 9 nights at KL airbnb (we got studio apt with washine machine, smart tv, balcony, kitchen, so we cook ourself as well), 5 min walking to klcc. This was the best decision as we had our own apt. Was a 5star stay, but cheaper than 5star hotels, yet with everything we need, specially the washing machine part.

We tour, klcc, petronas twin tower, kl tower, batu caves, pewter museum, aquarium, chinatown (dont forget the world famous chicken pot rice if you eat nonveg), few temples, few malls, local foods, seafoods, street food, etc. Watch blue beetle at klcc. Transport by grab car services. We ordered from grab food also few times. Sky train and monorail was there, but we lived close to almost everything, and for far away places, i got the grab app. Used the same grab app in few other countries, so i got points to use as well.

Dont miss durian fruit during your visit. Its the king of fruit. Beware - its an acquired taste. I love it. You might not.

Went to genting by bus 1hr from kl - 6 nights, then via cable car to the top of the world. Got free upgraded room. 27th floor. Resort world genting, world largest hotel with 7351 rooms as of aug 23. Fully covered by clouds at all times. We did some light shopping and casino and LOTS to eat. Watched the new MI movie (4d or something). Done archery. Went for 1 full day outdoor theme park tour, in cold and rain (wearing plastic raincoat was fun times).

Our tour was easy and relaxed. Personally i think, if want to travel any place, its better to not rush, take your time and be at easy. Rushing will only create issues, forgetful things, and mising some vital things which you will surely regret later.

Total cost via kolkata, around 2.5L for both of us. Did everything myself. No agent, no tours. I did called yatra and mmt, they quoted me 5L+ for a 15 day tour on twin share basis, so 10L total if i went with any tours.. jeez.
