Issue Resolved Unable to link Marriott account to Amex

Hi All,

I need help here.... I have amex points and when am trying to link the Marriott account to transfer the points, its saying as below.
Your Marriott Bonvoy® account number <Account No> could not be connected. Please contact Marriott Bonvoy® for more details.

In both the accounts the first name and last name are correct, i have verified. Same has happened with my Wife's account as well.


Any idea how to get it resolved.

Trying to link my Amex and Marriott accounts since 1 month and it was unsuccessful.Called Marriott and changed my first and last name,just like in my Amex statement.Raised a request with Amex,14 days back,and it's still pending.Marriott people said, 4 parameters should match for the link to happen,name,phone number, email id and the pincode.All were matching in both my Amex and Marriott accounts,still there is some problem from the Amex side.I need to transfer my Amex points to marriott urgently,as I need to book a hotel next month.Is there any other solution?

Refer application pdf and update name in marriot account accordingly.

Spoke to Amex customer care yesterday,they told that there is some tech problem from their side and there is some problem with the linkage of Amex and Marriott,it will be resolved soon,but there is no timeline on that.

I requested my friend to transfer some marriott points to my account,he could not do it as the Marriott app is showing points transfer temporarily unavailable.

I meant from my wife's Marriott account to my Marriott account.

After 3 moths,Amex sorted my problem and I could link my account with Marriott.It was a simple problem and Amex took 3 months,shows how much Amex has fallen recently regarding customer care.
