Welcome to Unified Dispute and Issue Resolution (UDIR) system for UPI or also called online dispute resolution (ODR) system for UPI.
The Complaint Management System allows customers to raise a complaint directly through the UPI app, which is then assigned to the relevant bank/PSP involved in the transaction through an automated manner for resolution.
There are three functionalities enabled currently through UDIR -
Status finalisation for pending transactions
Confirmation of refund credit to the remitters’ bank account in case of failed transactions.
The ability for consumers to raise complaints can be resolved in an automated manner by the respective banks/PSPs.

UDIR is an automated, single-channel redressal system designed to seamlessly address customer issues and complaints regarding pending transactions and provide speedy dispute resolution online instead of manual file-based processes.Few months back, NPCI CEO said, The in-app UPI UDIR feature is expected to resolve 80-90% of payment failures in real time. "80-90% of disputes caused by payment issues between a variety of participants of the large supply chain of UPI ecosystem will get resolved online,"
Customers will no longer be required to call the bank or contact merchants for payment disputes. Rather, users will be able to get all assistance on the UPI app itself.
