Urban Company - Rental Payment

I recently booked some services from Urban Company and paid the amount through the SBI Cash back card. I made total 4 payments and now when I see my statement I have been charged with 99 plus taxes for Rental Payments. So now forget 5% cashback I have to pay 500 bucks extra. I have raised this with the bank and Urban Company.

UC shouldn't be treated as Rent.. you should raise dispute directly to PNO with cc statement screenshot and the invoice given by UC which shows you haven't paid rent but have availed their services

Yes I raised the issue with both the bank and urban company. Urban company has refunded the extra charged amount. Now I am following up with SBI for the cashback. Can you please share the pno contact for SBI?

Blocking of SBI Card and Time taken for unblocking card

I recently got SBI Cashback card and I did a transaction of 209 INR while traveling on 07.10.2022. I got a message from SBI Fraud control that card was blocked due to suspicious activity. I called SBI CC on 08.10.2022 and SR was raised for unblocking the card and the resolution time given was...

Yes, SBI as usual is behaving the sarkari way.

“we would like to inform you that as per the merchant category code (MCC) and card feature, you are eligible for the only one 1 % cashback for transaction of Rs.8884 and for other transaction as per the MCC and card feature, you are not eligible for the cashback.”


This is response from Customer Service Head so no scope left here now for any further action. And the fun part is they are not talking about extra 99 rs charged on all the transactions. And how out of all the transactions done on same website/app for similar service only one is eligible for 1% Cashback. I have registered a complaint with RBI as well. But don’t have much hopes.

You could also share feedback to UC for correcting the MCC/merchant category. You may show how disappointing your experience was just due to this misconfiguration

I had same issue. I raised with urban company and they agreed to credit 118 rs in bank account.

Raised with sbi till pno level, then they reversed charges. But no cashback received.

As my cashback amount was small, I didn't raise it further to RBI. But you may try that.

Next time I will avoid sbi card for urban company.

Btw, was urs direct transaction or via cred?

Raised with sbi till pno level, then they reversed charges. But no cashback received.

As my cashback amount was small, I didn't raise it further to RBI. But you may try that.

Direct on UC app. SBI is also saying verbally that they will reverse the transaction fee but not given in writing till now.

I think that they are very well aware of the situation and not doing anything about it. Because the customer care executive understood my concern immediately and processed the refund of extra amount charged.

Same here. 3-4 months back I had one via cred. That went fine and gave 5%. So, I guess cred should be safe.

While booking on rate card, the value of two components(RO pump and one filter) were cheaper but in actual bill it is 200 bucks extra for both items. I didn't checked and have made the payment.

Yes But still there is difference. like motor pump on rate card is 1799 + 299 labour but in bill 2298.
Although technician said it will cost you 2k. But still they should follow rate card. Chances are rate card is outdated xD
