Urgent! Standard chartered purchase interest.

I have sc smart credit card and I used 50k last month on utilities and 50.7k on education payment using housing and today my statement got generated, i have used only this amount i.e 50000+50781 so total due should be 100781/- but they charged me some purchase interest of 5543.10, what the hell is this and also my total due 107012.57 ie also wrong calculation. Can someone please tell ABT this.



Update: All that extra fees got reversed 🎉

You can try contacting the customer care and they will reverse it. This was due to their system upgrade last month.

I didn't paid because there was some 688 fees deduction and customer care told me that it will get reversed so no need to pay!
And the system upgrade happens daily idk wht they are doing, even though still not live on bbps
 
This happened with me in last statement. They took the request and removed the charges in couple days. Since it was just 182 rupees. I paid Rs. 200 in case they mess up something.

You are suppose to pay the full bill, don't take anything verbally. If you have an email where they mentioned not to pay, you can get the charges reversal.

In my case, they replied via email that the charges are due to the upgrade and will not be reported as any delayed payment interest to CIBIL.

But when did uh get the mail after talking to the customer care?

Oh I am not the only one with this problem.

Started with the statement generated last month & this month as well - in the current month statement they have reversed the previous month charges, and applied new charges. Their customer care is super slow - including nodal officer.

Till date I have never paid min-amount / delayed / defaulted on any of my payments to credit cards.
 
Received reply from nodal officer that this happened because I paid 20 paisa less in one of the payments. The system flagged it as a partial payment & started levying interest!

same with me, started with last month statement, reversed it after writing to PNO but applied new charges this month statement as well. I am so done with SC. Will close my card now. All paid all my dues on time.

A friend told me this is a pretty old bug - not specific to SC.
This had happened with him few years ago & thereafter started paying ₹1/₹2 extra in every bill.
 
I had such a charge in September.
Called to ask what it was. No response. But in October they reversed it. And also added a new charge.
Called again. No actual answer.
But in November they reversed it and added yet another charge.

Phone agents say they have no visibility.
RM said 4 times she will check but no response
PNO says please give more details when after giving details 3 times.

Cars blocked since almost 2 months, but their nonsense continues. Even bharat sarkar banks are better.
