Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump agree that credit card interest rates are too high. A new bill in Congress to cap them could do more harm than good, experts say
A new bill sponsored by Sens. Bernie Sanders and Josh Hawley would cap credit card APRs at 10%—something that President Trump also wants—but that could reduce access to credit and credit card rewards programs.
Sen Josh Hawley(R) and Sen Bernie Sanders(D) have bought a bill to cap credit card interest rates at 10% including all finance and penalty fees and no other charges can be levied to bypass this CAP.
