CC payment or society maintenance payment via phonepe app ?

I ended up making the payment through PhonePe with FirstTap DC and got the reward points as well.

The merchant name on the OTP page was PhonePePrivateLimited. Same was mentioned in the SMS as well post transaction.

PhonePe apparently has a 24 hour holding period before the payment is transferred to the society. It was mentioned during the payment flow that it could take upto 24 hours for the payment to be credited, however after making the payment, the transaction history showed as successful and there was a notification saying the amount is credited to the recipient account. There was no indication that the transfer to recipient was pending or subject to the 24 hour security hold. This was very misleading. Since it showed as successful everywhere, I informed the society of the transfer but they had never received it. PhonePe support is pathetic and was not helpful at all.

Anyway exactly at the 24 hour mark, got another email saying payment is successful, however this appears the same as the mail that you get when you make the payment. Only difference is that in the included attachment an operator reference number or UTR is added. PhonePe definitely need to work on the UX in the app and email alerts if they are doing this 24 hour security hold.

Have opened a support ticket with MyGate, shared a screen recording as well showing the issue. Hopefully they'd have a fix soon.

For anyone following this thread, I just made a payment on My Gate for apartment society maintenance, using IDFC FirsTAP Rupay Debit card.

No gateway fees / additional fees charged by My Gate

Points credited instantly in the mobile app (sso.ai-loyalty.com thing)

Netbanking/ firstrewards.com website is still useless.

So in my case, my society doesn't use My Gate, they are on NoBrokerHood (although they did use MyGate till last year). So I had to enter the bank account details manually to initiate the payment. This is different from societies on My Gate with a payment request/due being raised in the app itself.

Also, now when I try to make the payment, it doesn't even let me proceed saying, "OTHERS" type payment is blocked. So I suspect they don't currently allow payments to non-MyGate enrolled societies.

Are ye mygate kasie chal jaata h tumlogo ka? Idhar mera do (2) saal se mygate app mein Rent Pay module "under maintenance" show krta h, saalon ko kai baar complain kiya dev team ko, abhi tak thik nhi kiya h
Only prepaid meter recharge works in my case, but i use apay balance to settle it with 2.5% conv fee
